HotelConnect taps TradeDoubler as its affiliate marketing network
Posted on: May 17th, 2008 by Andy SimpsonHoliday site, HotelConnect, has confirmed TradeDoubler as its affiliate marketing network. TradeDoubler will replace the current network - Commission Junction -, according to media reports.
The agreement follows a deal with British Airways that TradeDoubler secured a month ago.
Online manager of marketing at HotelConnect, James Parker, commented on the decision saying that the choice boiled down to which company would be able to provide the kind of network that would enable HotelConnect to expand its operations across Europe.
Parker added that HotelConnect decided to go with TradeDoubler for its wide reach and breadth across Europe and for its distinguished experience in the travel sector, say reports.
TradeDoubler was touted for its publisher network and office network throughout Europe, Parker continued to say.
The kind of reach that HotelConnect is looking for includes the Scandinavian region, and TradeDoubler was the only firm that could provide that reach. Although expanding marketing activity in UK was a definite plan for HotelConnect, they also wanted to establish the company’s presence in Scandanavia, confirmed Parker.
Among affiliate networks, TradeDoubler ranked No.1 in NMA’s Marketing Services Guide. It reported a turnover of 61.4 million pounds.
