Hourly car rentals at Hertz
Posted on: April 17th, 2007 by Martin FellowesHertz, the nation’s number 2 car rental firm, is now offering hourly rental. The debut is to be trialled at 3 locations in Manhattan. This isn’t the only company to offer such a service. A private company called Zipcar also offers the hourly rate but in a limited amount of cities across America.
The hourly at time of press is said to be $12 per hour.
The vice president of New York mentions that this will be much more convenient for the public. This makes hire cars much more accessible for clients wanting to run small errands and transport large items.
At time of press the service will only be offered in Manhattan. So this means that the three major airports in the metropolitan area will miss out on this excellent idea. Hertz is top dog for car rentals at airports but is still behind Enterprise in the overall revenue stakes.
