Jet Airways Konnect is Jet Airways’ economy no frills air service but as of the 3rd September 2009 the budget airline will launch services that was previously operated by Jet Airways, using Boeing 737-800 state-of-the-art planes. The new routes on the improved planes will improve the domestic flight routes with many new services flying between Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Chennai. These large cities will then also fly to smaller cities and towns throughout India.
As of the 3rd of September services will be improved on the Guwahati-Kolkata route, the Kolkata-Delhi and Bagdora route and totally new flight paths will come into play flying from Delhi to Pune and Guwahati to Delhi. After the new services have been launched Jet Airways Konnect will be operating 180 flights a day across India. September the 16th and 18th will also welcome many new additional flight routes and by the beginning of October all of the new additions will be in place.
“Jet Airways Konnect, with its low-fare, high quality services, has proven to be very popular with travellers across India. With strong demand for Konnect services on these domestic routes, we are confident that the new flights will be well-appreciated,” said Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO of Jet Airways.
