Macdonald summered up the first lady’s wardrobe last week during her visit to the UK. He said that she was sophisticated and glamorous and the epitome of a royal”.

The sheikha was first noticed by the fashion moguls when the Qatar royal couple were welcomed by the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh in Windsor. Carla Bruni Sarkozy was commended for her style, wearing a Dior Couture gown and jacket with a fur stole. The Qatar royal accessorized her look with matching gloves and a headscarf. Despite the fact that this would be considered risqué on her home soil, she did reveal a tiny bit of her hair.

Qatar government officials said this week that Sheikha Mozah does not employ a stylist which is a true testament to the style of one of the world’s richest women.

Although Sheikha Mozah is fast becoming a cult figure in the fashion blogosphere she still has a little way to go before she will get the same attention as other first women.
