Europcar has announced that its keeping its commitment to give customers the biggest selection of vehicles to choose from by adding the Kia Optima to its fleet. This car is considered the ideal vehicle for business travellers, and it will complement the car hire provider’s existing selection of executive saloons.
The Kia Optima has been honoured with the 2011 Red Dot Design award for “Best of the Best”. Due to its low emission design and ‘Stop & Go” system, the car is especially suited for traffic congestion. It also integrates Bluetooth facilities as a standard to ensure Europcar clients can stay connected and safe while they drive.
Europcar UK Group managing director Ken McCall says that this is the first time the Kia Optima has been added to their fleet. This new generation business vehicle is a perfect complement to the other vehicles in their fleet that are ideal for business travellers. There has been international demand for the Kia Optima, and now customers will be able to get behind the wheel of this world-class car with the help of Europcar.
This news follows Europcar announcing last week that it’s adding the Range Rover Evoque to its UK network to give business travellers more options. The vehicle will only be available at Prestige from Europcar fleet locations later in the year. McCall said that the Range Rover Evoque will be added over the next few months. This decision will ensure that some of the market’s most desirable vehicles are available to corporate customers. He added that the addition will support their commitment to this part of the business travel market.
Meanwhile, this isn’t the only good news to come from Europcar over the month. Earlier the company announced that it has partnered with Tesco to offer deals on Prestige from Europcar rentals to Tesco Clubcard rewards members. The move is allowing some 17 million members to use rewards points to hire prestigious vehicles like the Audi A8 or Porsche Boxster.
Additionally, consumers can still get 30% off their Prestige from Europcar hire. The company launched a promotion on 1 October to give customers a discount when they make a booking by the end of the month. So travellers wanting to take advantage of this offering need to make a booking by next Wednesday. The rentals have to be used by 28 February of next year. The promotion is available at all 40 of Prestige from Europcar’s locations in the UK and can be used for any vehicle in the fleet.
Furthermore, Europcar is making van hires more accessible to consumers in the UK. It has added vans to its branches at Heathrow, Stansted, Luton, Newcastle and Birmingham airports. With all of the options Europcar offers, there’s no way a traveller won’t find a vehicle they are looking for that will fit their travel needs.
