Manchester to London on Virgin Trains for a pound

Virgin Trains is offering tickets for sale on its website from London Euston to Manchester – and the other direction as well – for as little as £1 each way. It releases new tickets at this price every few months, and for those who are quick they can be had for £1. For those who aren’t as quick, there are still some very cheap fares on offer.

To book a ticket on the route, it’s necessary to go to the Virgin Trains website (virgintrains.co.uk), and select the direction – either from or to Manchester – and then look for the dates that have the £1 fares available. If there’s nothing available for £1 there should be £3, £7 and £9 fares offered, which are still a bargain.

Travel can be booked through 20 March 2009, and the offer is frequently extended.

Tickets need to be printed from the website, and must be clear and fully legible.
