The Marriott Hotel in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital city, has scooped up two prestigious travel awards, which solidify this establishment’s position as being among the best in the Marriott International chain. The Islamabad hotel received this distinction at a major general managers’ conference, held in Beijing. The international meeting united general mangers and hotel directors from establishments across Asia Pacific.
The award was accepted by Marriott Islamabad’s General Manager, Clive Webster, who told journalists afterwards that this distinction served as a “tremendous accolade” and that his Islamabad staff is very proud of this most recent achievement.
What makes the award even more prestigious is that Marriott Islamabad was reportedly chosen from among 120 other prominent hotels throughout Asia Pacific, as well as from among 450 hotels associated with the Marriott brand from around the world. According to Webster, both awards indicate that Marriott Islamabad has been able to successfully remain competitive within the business community, but without losing sight of the importance of customer satisfaction. The second award, however, was specifically aimed at recognizing Webster’s achievement as the Islamabad hotel’s general manager, notably in the field of leadership and sales expertise.
