Mihir Garh Labelled Most Extraordinary Hotel in the World by Lonely Planet

Mihir Garh HotelThere are literally thousands of fantastic hotels located around the world. A number of these hotels are located right in India. However, according to Lonely Planet, there is no more extraordinary hotel than Mihir Garh in the Rajasthan desert. This hotel, which has been open for just five years, was built right from scratch in the middle of the desert. Now it offers a one-of-a-kind experience that cannot be found anywhere else.

Lonely Planet has just named Mihir Garh the most extraordinary hotel in the world. This grand hotel is owned by Sidharth Singh. He said that when he went to build the hotel, he was more driven by his own intuition than any other reasoning. He had no idea if the hotel would be a success or not, but he hired more than 100 craftsmen from the local area to help create nine 1,700-square-foot suites. Each of these suites comes with its own fireplace and pool.

James Kay, a writer for Lonely Plant, said that there are very few hotels in the world that can even come close to comparing to Mihir Garh. This is a shrine to Rajasthan architectural traditions. Travellers will not find a more extraordinary hotel in the world than the Mihir Garh in India.

The second most extraordinary hotel on this list is Planet Baobab in Botswana. This hotel is made up of a collection of mud and grass huts. Despite the sound of it, the hotel is very up to date and even has an on-sight bar. One of the attractions to this hotel is the 4,000-year-old baobab trees that are found all over the area. It is truly a one-of-a-kind experience that guests cannot find anywhere else.

Despite the fact that the UK is known for having some of the best hotels in the world, no hotels in the UK made it onto the list of the most extraordinary. On top of that, only a handful of hotels in Europe were even able to make it on this list. One European hotel that did make the list is Prendiparte B&B in Bologna, Italy. This hotel offers a single suit at the top of a tower that is 900 years old. It is actually one of few tall buildings remaining in the city that has a rooftop terrace. According to Lonely Planet, this hotel offers one of the most breath-taking views the guests will ever see of the historic Bologna skyline.
