National Car Rental offers weekly specials

National Car Rental is offering a range of weekly rental promotional deals, for those looking to hire a vehicle in the United States. The least expensive weekly rentals start at only $144 for the entire period, and cars for this rate can be hired from a number of locations, including Montgomery Airport (Alabama), Bakersfield Airport (California), Fort Lauderdale International Airport, Fort Myers, Panama City Airport and Reno Airport, in Nevada. In each case, the client can expect to receive either an economy class, or a compact car for this price, while it is also possible to enjoy preferential rates over the weekend. The vast majority of locations participating in these weekly and weekend discounts, however, are National counters based at regional and international airports in the US.

All clients interested in booking cars for these discounted prices should keep in mind that the initially quoted rental fee does not include taxes and other surcharges. Additionally, some airports will also require that National customers pay a so-called facility fee, which may be as high as $4.50 per day, or up to $15 for the entire rental period. Loss Damage Waivers (LDW) are optional, but they may add as much as $29.99 to a rental.

In order to take advantage of the lowest last minute rates, however, clients must act quickly and book their car hire no later than Monday, May 12^th, 2008. The actual rental period may occur as late as May 20^th, 2008.
