Hilton Hotels has unveiled what it is calling its new ‘lifestyle’ brand, with a focus on “globally-conscious modern travellers,” at the Berlin International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF).
The new brand is called Denizen Hotels, and according to Ross Klein, the global head for luxury and lifestyle brands at Hilton: “The term denizen literally means ‘citizen of the world.”
He noted: “We created this new brand in homage to guests who desire and deserve the best hotel experiences, both on an emotional and functional level.”
Currently, the hotel group is in negotiations to locate hotels at resorts and city destinations including Abu Dhabi, Hollywood, Istanbul, Jerusalem, Las Vegas, London, Miami, Montreal, Mumbai, New York City, and Washington DC.
“While we continue to operate in a challenging macro economic environment, the addition of Denizen Hotels demonstrates our commitment to continuing to invest in our long-term growth,” said Hilton president and CEO Christopher J. Nassetta.
Architects and designers working on the new Denizen hotels include Charles Allem, Clodagh and David Rockwell.
The hotel group’s new brand will feature “social, interactive spaces”, communal-style tables in restaurants and “rejuvenation zones”, which will provide a “personal technology-rich haven” for guests from their arrival at the hotel.
