Northwest passengers save up 25 percent on Avis rentals

Members of Northwest Airlines’ loyalty program, WorldPerks, are now provided the opportunity to save as much as 25 percent on car rentals arranged through Avis Rent-A-Car, as well as earn valuable air miles each time they hire a vehicle. The deal, however, is only available for Avis cars booked in either Canada or the United States. All those frequent flyers who are registered with Northwest’s WorldPerks program are given the opportunity to accumulate 50 miles for each day that they hire a car through Avis. Additionally, those who decide to rent for a period of at least five consecutive days can collect up to 500 WorldPerks points. Clients should, however, keep in mind that they will be required to provide their special WorldPerks collector number at the time of reservation, in order to ensure that all points are duly credited to the renter’s account following a rental.

Northwest and Avis recently announced their partnership, and as part of their introductory promotional, the two firms have decided to offer renters an impressive 1,500 bonus miles on each rental that exceeds two consecutive days, up until May 31st, 2008. In order to receive all these points, however, the renter will be required to quote the correct promotional code at the time of online booking, namely “MUAA122.” Avis has even set up a special website dedicated to members of Northwest’s WorldPerks program, accessible at http://avis.com/nwa1500.
