Oxford Airport, officially named London Oxford Airport, has announced that it will see its first scheduled flights to international destinations in December. Baboo will fly to Switzerland and Geneva every week on a Saturday from the airport as of the 19th of December and it will be using its modern Bombardier Q400 plane to complete the journey. Seats on the flights are cheap and will start at only £78 for a one way ticket that includes all taxes and charges.
The managing director of Oxford Airport has commented on his delight of the new flight path and believes that the niche airport will attract many keen skiers looking to take to the slopes in the winter months. Baboo is based in Geneva and a spokeswoman for the company said they were happy to be the first airline to serve Oxford Airport for international flights. The carrier also flies to destinations such as St Tropez, Venice and Biarritz, all notable for their exclusive personas.
Baboo has an excellent reputation for its service and the new flight routes from Oxford allows skiers to get to the French and Swiss resorts with ease from the airport with Zermatt, Flaine, Megeve, Chamonix and Verbiers being some of the closest. The flights also come at a good time for the 2009/2010 ski season and some of the Alps number one resorts are found only a short distance from the Geneva Airport. Passenegers using Baboo will benefit from a generous luggage allowance plus free snowboard and ski allowances making it easy to travel with all of your own gear.
