Paris Hilton May be Able to Escape Going to Jail

It now seems reports suggest that Paris Hilton may be able to avoid going to jail after being arrested for cocaine possession. It seems that police forgot or chose not to give her a blood test after arresting her.

Paris, age 27, was arrested for cocaine possession over the past weekend. However, she may be able to get off through a slip-up made by the Nevada legal system. This loophole is just big enough that she may not have to spend any time at all behind bars.

Had a blood test been taken, and if it would have come up positive for cocaine, then there would have been no arguing over her having to go to jail. However, because police did not take a drug test, her “simple” story may now just hold up in court.

Apparently Paris told police that the illegal drugs that they found in her handbag was not hers, and it belonged to a friend. As there is no blood test to prove that she was using the drugs, this story could now prove to be Miss Hilton’s saving grace.

Although this may seem to be a big slip up by the police department, they are not actually required to give a blood test, meaning that it is only done when they feel like doing it. Nevada criminal defense attorney, Mace Yampolsky, said that she wasn’t driving, so there would not be a blood test. The crime that she is being accused of is possession, not being under the influence. Usually police do not test for drugs if they are not driving.

Paris turned to Twitter to slam reports that she lied over whether the drugs were hers or not. She said that the rumors going around are so ridiculous, untrue and just cruel. She is not going to even pay attention to them, because they are not truthful.
