Well good news for all of the gamers out there that are looking forward to Sony’s Next Generation Portable, which has been codenamed NGP. Apparently reports are flying around the web that it could be out as soon as this year.
That’s right, online sources now have the NGP pegged for a November 11 launch. Although this has not been confirmed by Sony, it does seem like a possible launch day. In fact, some think that Sony would be doing this to make the release date for the system “11-11-11.” That is a pretty hard release date to mess up.
If this rumor is correct, then the first place that will get their hands on the NGP will be Japan. Places like Europe and America will likely be second in line. Now that people have a possible release date, they just need an official price point.
On that same note, there are a lot of different price points flying around the web as well. However, the price point tends to vary depending on the model that people buy. For example, one NGP may come only with Wi-Fi. However, another model is suppose to come with both 3G and Wi-Fi.
The truth of the matter is that a lot of people do not know what’s going on with the release of the NGP. There is still a lot not known about this system. Either way, Sony is going to have to play catch up again with Nintendo. In fact, the “Big N’s” next hand held system is suppose to be out this month. The system supports great graphics, NetFlix and, of course, the ability to play games in 3D without 3D glasses.
