Private Jet Fleet Expanded by Lufthansa
Posted on: March 27th, 2008 by Martin FellowesIn a significant and strategic move this year, Lufthansa is to build up private jet fleet of its own. In connection to this, the new aircraft’s first member, Cessna Citation CJ3, is all set for being delivered in April to the airline. On the whole, during the approaching months about nine new private jets are supposed to come into the service. The deliveries are scheduled to start in April, for this new fleet operation the nine aircraft are chosen from the Bombardier and Cessna plane makers.
Accommodating the surging demands is presently the main aim of the airlines. In comparison to the previous year there has been an increase of about 26 % in the number of jet flights of the company in the year 2007.
Consequently, the customer demand surpassed the total capacity of the airline, by an average of 25% during the year in peak months. On the other hand, customer satisfaction rate with the Lufthansa Private Jet service (LPJ) remained constantly at above 90 % with a scope of further increase. Nevertheless, the constant customer satisfaction scores of over 90% are a very encouraging sign for the airline’s future plans.
Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales Lufthansa Passenger Airline, Thierry Antinori, stated that in the world they are the only airlines which successfully operate scheduled flights as well as private jet services. He said that they offer the passengers first-class exclusivity and flexibility and with LPJ they are setting new trends in the world of air traffic.
