Qatar Airways took the title of top global long-haul airline in the Business Travel Awards announced in London last week. Commenting on their decision, the judges noted that Qatar operated routes on a comprehensive world-wide network and was also a socially responsible corporation.
The judges carried on by saying that what really made Qatar stand head and shoulders above the crowd was its commitment to offering the best possible service for passengers. Morena Bronzetti is the carrier’s UK and Ireland regional manager and she said everybody concerned was proud to have won the coveted Best Long-Haul Airline ranking.
Ms Bronzetti carried on by saying the tribute was a testament to Qatar’s dedication to giving passengers the optimum service. She finished off by saying the airline’s fleet was constantly upgraded and product ranges enhanced in order to ensure Qatar remained at the forefront of the air travel industry.
The twenty-second edition of the Business Travel Awards was staged at London’s prestigious Grosvenor House. More than 1,200 people attended the awards ceremonies.
From the UK, Qatar Airways operates 72 flights every week to its hub at Hamad International Airport. This gives British holidaymakers and business travellers access to a global network comprising 150-plus destinations.
In 2016 alone, Qatar added 12 destinations which included Boston, Sydney, Krabi in Thailand and Pisa in Italy. Flying with Qatar gives bonuses such as wider seats than the average, a huge choice of in-flight entertainment, Hasbro kiddies’ entertainment sets and access to wireless internet.
