With the increase in popularity of Croatia as a holiday destination, rental car company globalCARS has introduced new vehicles in the market and new rates – not only in Croatia, but in other Balkan and eastern European countries as well.
The rental car operator offers a range of vehicles for hire from the Dubrovnik airport, and also from major urban centres in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.
At the Dubrovnik airport, rates start from A$51 for a two-door manual SEAT Marbella or similar car, based on a seven-day rental, and rises to approximately A$81 per day for a four-door manual Citroen Xsara or similar vehicle.
Prices are inclusive of unlimited mileage, airport surcharges, breakdown assistance, collision damage waiver, theft waiver and third party liability insurance.
Andrew Morgan, the director of globalCARS, said that vehicles rented in Croatia may be taken out of the country to many other locations in Europe for a charge of two euros per day, but that rental cars may not be taken to Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Greece, Latvia, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Russia or Ukraine.
