Ryanair confuses Poland with the Czech Republic
Posted on: May 22nd, 2008 by Frank ToddIrish airline Ryanair may offer great deals on flights, but the budget airline may not know exactly where you’re going. The airline’s geographical in capabilities were dramatically highlighted this week when an airline hostesses noticed a critical mistake on a map in the in-flight magazine and became enraged.
The Czech stewardess was reading the Ryanair in-flight magazine and looking at the map of Hertz rental locations across Europe when she noticed something was wrong with the map.
On the Hertz map, Prague, a landlocked city, was located on the banks of the Baltic Sea and Poland had taken the place of the Czech Republic.
“I’ve told them before,” the attendant fumed. “If they can get France and the UK in the right place, why not the Czech Republic?”
Hertz does, in fact, operate in the Czech Republic and presumably their staff know where they are aren’t haven’t set up shop in Poland by mistake.
In the Czech Republic, Hertz offers a large fleet of varied vehicles from economy size cars to minibuses, from practical vans to extravagant prestige cars, all for either short or long term rental.
Hertz offers daily deals in the Czech Republic. Today, the Škoda Fabia is available from £25.50 per day, the Citroën C4 is available for £31 per day and the Škoda Fabia Combi is available from £28.40 per day.
