This prestigious award is presented annually by Sears to a small group of companies that have supplied them with goods of all kinds and a variety of services throughout the year. This award is highly sought after as less than one percent of Sears suppliers receive it each year, this is from a list of over forty thousand supplying companies.

The scheme was created by Sears over twenty years ago and is regarded as very important by the company in fostering good relationships with their myriad of suppliers. Companies that win the award are judged by Sears as having gone above and beyond what would normally be expected from a supplier in their dealings with a customer. This is regarded by Sears as an aid in ensuring that their customers receive the best service that they can supply as a result of this cooperation.
