Seoul InterContinental Hotel receives top marks

Seoul’s prestigious InterContinental Hotel has been deemed to be the best luxury establishment in all of Asia and Asia Pacific by the Korean Productivity Centre, which partnered up with the University of Michigan for the purposes of this study. The InterContinental is conveniently situated in the South Korean capital, due to its location at the crossroads of the business and cultural districts. As such, the hotel is able to attract both businesspeople on official trips as well as leisurely travelers on vacation. One of the closest attractions happens to be the Korean World Trade Centre, while the City Air Terminal is also nearby.

Seoul’s Grand InterContinental consists of a total of 518 luxurious guestrooms and offers most of the facilities that travelers have come to expect when they stay at prestigious establishments. These include 15 function rooms, restaurants serving international cuisine, as well as fitness and business facilities.

The Grand InterContinental also earned the best marks for its food safety management system in a survey that examined the overall hygiene of a handful of prominent hotels in the Asia Pacific region.

Established in 1946, the Intercontinental chain is among the oldest and most prominent hotel brands in the world. The chain operates 200 hotels in a total of 75 countries.
