In January, Sixt announced on its blog that they would be opening new locations at the Stansted and Edinburgh Airports. Now, this week, they have announced that their brand new office in the arrivals terminal at Stansted opened on March 1. This is all part of their continued expansion throughout the UK.
Sixt has operated from a rental centre that was located outside the main terminal building at the airport for many years. This new office will still offer the typical fleet of high quality rental cars. The car hire company is known for offering top of the range vehicles in all groups, which is something that sets them apart from their competitors. These cars include the VW Polo Bluemotion, which doesn’t incur the London Congestion Charge. They are also due to add the new Audi A1 to their fleet in the next few weeks.
Stansted airport records more than 20 million passengers passing through each year. The new Sixt branch in the arrivals hall will make sure a representative is immediately available when travelers land, allowing them to pick up their car without any delay. The opening also comes with extended hours – from 6am to 11pm every day of the week.
On the company’s blog, they say they are very excited about this opening, which shows their commitment to improving both the service and rental facilities they offer to consumers. Sixt has hired Craig Nash to manage the team at the new branch, and they are sure the new location will be a big success with his vast experience in the industry.
