Sixt in conjunction with BMW ConnectedDrive will work with Design Hotels and 11 other member hotels to tailor-make driving tours for travellers in Germany and Austria. The custom-made driving offers will cater to independent travellers looking for adventurous new ways to discover regional highlights in the two countries.
Car hirers will now be able to use their BMW rentals connected to BMW ConnectedDrive to access new, detailed routes and sites for a tailor-made driving tour through either country. All BMW cars offered by Sixt car rental are installed with BMW’s latest navigation system, ConnectedDrive.
Roadtrips are specially designed to incorporate a region’s culture, history, and key points of architectural interest and most are in the form of one-day trips. Renters simply access the sites and choose a route by downloading it to their ConnectedDrive systems. The system then takes guests all the way from their hotel to the various destinations along the roadtrip. The BMW navigation system will even update automatically to account for traffic delays.
Routes include famous wineries across Austria and Germany, museums, lakes, and famous historical points related to the region which the renter is staying. There are even routes which incorporate culinary experiences for those who choose to dine well while travelling the back roads.
Participating hotels will be offering special package rates for BMW ConnectedDrive guests which can be booked at the Design Hotels website. These deals will run until the end of this year.
