Sixt takes first place in Europe
Posted on: February 15th, 2008 by Martin FellowesSixt, one of Europe’s most reputable car hire firms and the largest rental firm in Germany has just received a prestigious reward, in recognition of its exceptional service. The car hire giant was handed an award by the Business Traveller magazine, and was labeled the “best” rental company in Europe. Yet this is hardly the first time that Sixt earned this important distinction. Only last year, the German firm scooped up the top prize as well, and with the newest award, Sixt appears to solidifying a clear winning streak.
Mark Tügel, who serves as editor-in-chief of Business Traveller, a journal that aims to address the interests and concerns of businesspeople who travel frequently, as well as corporate clients in general, was the one to hand over the award to Sixt. On the car hire company’s part, Hans-Norbert Topp, the firm’s main sales officer was the one to accept the distinction. Sixt appears to have beat competitors in a handful of key categories, including for the correlation between price and service offered to clients, effective rental procedures, transparency during the booking process, friendly and efficient customer service, professionalism and knowledge on the part of staff members, as well as the quality of available rental cars.
Business Traveller offers these rewards on a yearly basis and the magazine’s readers, as well as other frequent renters are always the ones to choose which firm will receive the top prize. In this sense, the distinction can be considered to be a “people’s choice” award. While Sixt has enjoyed first place standing in Europe for the second year in a row, three years ago it was named the best rental firm in Germany.
