People all over the world are looking to save money, not only on their car rentals, but also on petrol. That is why Sixt, which is the number 1 car rental company in all of Germany, is now going to be offering motorbikes to its customers. To start off with, this new offering will only be available in Germany as a test run. However, if the test run goes well, Sixt may choose to offer these motorbikes in other areas around the world, including the UK.
Sixt says that these new vehicles will be available in May of this year. These two-wheel bikes will be found at Sixt branches in Berlin, Hamburg, Bonn and Munich. To start with, Sixt is going to offer a choice of eight different models of motorbikes. These will range from the BMW Scooter to the extremely popular BMW S 1000 RP.
Just like with typical car rentals, the price for these motorbikes differs depending on the model you rent. However, Sixt says that these motorbikes will range in price from €49 to €199 per day. If people aren’t sure if they want to rent these motorbikes, Sixt says that the bikes are also available for test driving. People can request these bikes as a replacement vehicle if they ever need one as well.
This recent offering comes as Sixt extends its long partnership with BMW. In fact, these two companies have a very long history together, and that is why Sixt has the world’s largest fleet of BMW vehicles available. This new motorbike deal just further proves this point.
Of course, it’s not just Sixt and BMW that benefit from this partnership. Consumers who rent with Sixt are typically offered exclusive new BMW developments at no extra cost to them. For example, this includes the new fuel-efficient BMW Efficient Dynamics Drivetrains and the ConnectedDrive information system. The ConnectedDrive is an intelligent system which offers drivers relevant information that they might find useful during their journey. These are just a few of the special features that Sixt consumers enjoy because of the partnership agreement between Sixt and BMW.
The COO of Sixt, Detlev Patsch, said that this is a very close partnership between BMW and Sixt. This partnership offers a number of big benefits for consumers. This includes benefits in popular vehicle models, as well as new state-of-the-art technology for their cars. Sixt knows that the next logical step to take in this partnership is to offer consumers the ability to rent exciting motorcycles from BMW as well. Sixt is completely convinced that this new offering will appeal to countless motorbike fans and offer them a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Sixt was founded back in 1912 and is now internationally known. Thanks to Sixt’s franchisees and partnerships, this car rental giant is known in more than 100 different countries. Currently Sixt is the market leader in such countries as Austria and Germany. During 2011, Sixt was able to generate more than €1.56 billion in turnover, and has more than 3,000 workers. This number of workers, of course, excludes franchisees.Author's Google+ page
