Smokeless cigarrettes may soon be offered in your rental car
Posted on: October 14th, 2009 by Martin FellowesOnly last month the car hire giant, Avis Budget Group, decided enough was enough and banned smoking in all of their hire vehicles in the US and Canada. This was due to the amount it was costing the company in cleaning and also because customers were increasingly requesting non-smoking cars. Some car rental companies that have continued to allow smoking are often losing out on business and an average family will not want a car that stinks of cigarette smoke for their holidays.
However, for those that do smoke there may be a light at the end of the tunnel in the form of the smokeless cigarette. Smokeless cigarettes manufacturers are saying they soon plan to launch their range of products to the car rental industry very shortly. Manufacturers of smokeless cigarettes say they are in talks with some major car rental firms across the globe about marketing their cigarettes. They are asking for them to be sold at car hire desks and branches for prices starting around €6 per packet.
The smokeless cigarettes should provide car rental users with the same convenience as they do air passengers. Ryanair has only recently introduced smokeless cigarettes on board their flights, to help passengers who suffer from nicotine-withdrawal over long journeys. These cigarettes reportedly do not contain any toxins, and are not harmful to either the smoker or the persons around them.
With more and more car rental agencies introducing the no-smoking system, smokeless cigarettes may soon be as much of a boon to car hire users.
