Superbreak adds new overseas accommodation options
Posted on: November 4th, 2008 by Taylor SmithIn the past year, the online accommodation provider Superbreak has booked over 100,000 travellers into its overseas properties, through travel agents.
For the next 12 months, a target of 115,000 has been set – for the period ending 30 September 2009.
The operator’s programme for 2008-09 features a number of new travel destinations that include Auckland, Brisbane, Fez, Palm Springs and Washington DC, along with over 300 new hotels and numerous additional excursions.
More than 1,500 properties in over 200 short- and long-haul locations are featured in the new brochure, and agents now have an additional 3,000 properties available online to sell.
Nearly 200 of the accommodation options are new for 2008-09. Seventy per cent of the choices are in cities and 30 per cent are at beach locations. Approximately 25 per cent of the beach options are self-catering. There are also all-inclusive options on offer.
The company’s sales director, Ian Mounser, said: “We continue to act as the principal, plus protect customer monies through our trust fund. As an operator that has been working closely with agents for over 25 years, we definitely represent a strongly trusted supplier of overseas accommodation in the current climate.”
He also noted: “This year we’ve concentrated hard on redefining the mix of properties we offer and this is the second year that we have combined both our beach and cities products and we now feature accommodation, excursions, transfers and attractions worldwide.”
