Tamir Car Rental offers all-inclusive Israeli hires from $40
Posted on: October 3rd, 2007 by Lisa DavidsonTamir, a car rental company based in Israel, is offering all-inclusive hired vehicles from $40. This discounted rate applies to all three to six day rentals during the off-season. Weekly rates are somewhat lower, as they currently stand at $220. For this price, renters can expect to receive a category ‘B’ vehicle, which in Israel is the equivalent of an economy, or compact car. Most customers will receive either a Hyundai Getz, or a Chevrolet Aveo. Both models are equipped with air-conditioning and power steering, while the Hyundai also has four doors.
Tamir prides itself on offering cars for discounted prices, especially when compared with the rates posted by most other rental firms in Israel. Non-Israeli citizens are not charged VAT, so tourists will find that no additional taxes are added to their bill. Since the advertised car hire rates are all-inclusive, customers will not have to purchase a separate insurance policy.
Tamir was founded more than 35 years ago, and as such, it is one of the more prominent names in this industry. The company’s headquarters are located in the town of Netanya, near the Mediterranean coast. All reservations can be made by either calling the company’s toll free telephone number, or online, using an interactive form on their website (tamir-rental.com). Cars can be delivered or picked up in almost any major Israel city, or town, with the exception of the southern resort of Eilat. In order to rent and drive a car in Israeli, tourists must simply have in their possession a valid license issued by their home country or state. It is not necessary to hold an international permit.
