Tempest Car Hire arranges airport transfers in S. Africa
Posted on: December 19th, 2007 by Samantha WilliamsTempest Car Hire, which is closely affiliated with Sixt’s operations in
South Africa, is now offering airport transfers at reasonable rates, in addition to its more traditional car hire service. Tempest provides visitors with economical transfers to and from the largest international airports in South Africa, including those serving the cities of Johannesburg, Cape Town and
Durban. As an added benefit, Tempest’s service is available at any time during the day or night, cutting out the need to ask co-workers or peers to arranged pick-ups on business trips, or asking family members to drive out to the airport late at night, or in the early morning. Tempest’s rates start at R176 ($25) each way. The price of a rental, however, depends on the length of a given trip, as the areas around all cities served are divided into zones. The least expensive zone includes destinations within a 25km radius of the airport. The car hire company’s transfer rates are noticeably less expensive than what one would be charged by a taxi driver, for an identical trip.
Most cars can transport up to three adult travelers, and it costs the same to have either one or three passengers. Tempest uses comfortable Toyota Corolla vehicles to transport passengers to and from the airport. All airport transfer requests may be booked online, using a dedicated, interactive form on Tempest’s website (www.tempestcarhire.co.za ). Clients should, however, be sure to complete the form at the very latest 24 hours prior to the requested time of pick-up. Once the form has been completed and sent to the car hire company, all customers will receive a booking code, which will be required at the time of the transfer.
Tempest also offers a range of car rentals near major airports in
South Africa.
