The Shelby is a true icon of car design and history and now Hertz has brought it back to the fleets. Hertz allow customers to rent this beast of a car one day at a time. The cost is $149 per day which sounds reasonable for such a privilege. Hertz once upon a time hired out the likes of the Ford Mustang some 40 years ago.

The exact car on offer is the Hertz Shelby GT-H. It really is a true marvel with it’s stainless steel kickplates and gold go-faster stripes.

Hertz will also be selling off the vintage cars in auctions too. You have to be quick if you want to rent them as Hertz plans to sell them off after summer with less than 10K miles on the clock. Especially considering one of the Shelbys was sold for $90K!

It’s understandable that once classic car lovers found out about the revived rental idea that they soon wrote into the company in their droves.
