Think twice before changing car rental dates
Posted on: March 24th, 2008 by Taylor SmithThose looking to rent a car should think twice before changing car rental dates, asking for a different car or modifying the set itinerary in any other way. Travel expert Sophie Butler of the Telegraph reminded prospective car renters that it is usually possible to make changes to a car hire up to 24 hours prior to the indicated date of pick-up. Yet clients must remember that even if their changes should make the rental less expensive (either because they have selected different dates, or a more economical car), most car hire firms will still require that the customer pay the original price. On the other hand, firms like Avis note that if the changes cause the price of a rental car to increase, clients will be required to pay the difference when collecting the vehicle.
