Thrifty Car Rental new Southwest Rapid Rewards partner

Southwest Airlines has chosen Thrifty Car Rental to be a preferred partner in its Rapid Rewards program, allowing Thrifty customer to join the program, and aiming to build additional loyalty to the Southwest brand through co-branded promotional activities.

To kick off the new partnership, members will receive triple credits on vehicle rentals of five days or more through October 31 of this year.

“This new partnership with Thrifty will bring tremendous value to our customers and to the Rapid Rewards program,” said the director of customer loyalty for Southwest Airlines, Ryan Green. “We are very proud to welcome Thrifty onboard to assist us in getting Customers to their favorite destinations.”

“We always felt Southwest Airlines and Thrifty would be a natural union for customers looking for exceptional value in the air and on the ground,” added Brian Carpenter, the vice president for sales and marketing at the Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group.

For the past four years, Thrifty Car Rental has been the sponsor of Southwest Airlines’ “Star of the Month” program that recognizes outstanding employees, providing a free car rental certificate for each employee recognized. Dollar Rent A Car, Thrifty’s sister company, has had preferred partner status with the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards program since July of 1999.
