Thrifty earns top marks
Posted on: May 1st, 2008 by Frank ToddEntrepreneur Magazine has determined that Thrifty is the top car rental company, for the sixth time in a decade and a half. The business publication found that Thrifty offers better value for money than most of its major competitors, as well as a high degree of convenience and comfort for the renter. Entrepreneur advised potential renters not to think that Thrifty is a second or third rate company, simply because of its name, or that they will have to sacrifice their comfort, just because Thrifty tends to offer highly competitive rental prices.
Entrepreneur Magazine praised Thrifty for the fact that it offers a corporate account program, called SmartBiz, and also took note of the car hire firm’s prominent presence in 68 different countries. SmartBiz, however, seemed to stand out the most in Entrepreneur’s eyes, mainly because the program allows for businesses of all sizes-including the smallest ones-to sign up and enjoy the many benefits associated with membership. When firms join the program they get to enjoy up to 3,000 miles worth of rentals and discounted rates each month, as well as reductions on airport parking in the United States.
Thrifty also offers non-corporate renters a range of extras, including GPS navigation devices, a prepaid toll pass, called Pass24, as well as unrestricted access to express toll lanes.
