Thrifty opens new car sales outlet in San Antonio

Dollar-Thrifty, one of the largest budget rental companies in the United States, has expanded the used car sales branch of its business by opening a new franchise location in San Antonio, Texas. Thrifty Car Sales is part of the larger Dollar-Thrifty Automotive Group, which is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The car sales outlet operates on a 1.5 acre lot, in the northwest part of San Antonio. During the first few weeks, this Thrifty Car Sales location will start off with a selection of 60 vehicles, all of which are used, but have been driven for no more than 55,000 miles. In many cases, the cars are almost new, with a mileage of around 3,000 miles.

The Thrifty outlet will be run by a team of 10 experienced employees, who will be qualified to provide assistance to prospective clients and answer any questions that they may have. Those looking to purchase an American car may find this Thrifty location most useful, as 60 percent of the vehicles for sale will be domestic brands, while an additional 20 percent will be foreign makes. The remaining 20 percent will consist primarily of SUVs and smaller trucks. Although this location has just opened its doors, there are reportedly plans to set up at least two more Thrifty sales outlets in San Antonio, over the course of the coming years. Thrifty Car Sales presently operates 39 locations across the US and has been expanding continually, since the branch was established in 1999.

Thrifty Rent-A-Car, founded in 1958, was merged with Dollar eighteen years ago. The company is prominently present in 68 countries, but most of its 1,028 rental locations are actually in the US.
