Thrifty redesigns sales website
Posted on: December 18th, 2007 by Taylor SmithAs part of a renewed focus on used car sales–in addition to its primary rental business–Thrifty has redesigned its sales website, in a bid to attract more clients and make buying a vehicle from the hire firm’s fleet a simpler and more convenient process.
Clients interested in purchasing a vehicle from Thrifty’s rental fleet should visit www.thriftycarsales.com . One of the most important changes involves the optimization of search engines, in order to allow both private customers, as well as dealers, to find the type of car they are looking for much faster and with less hassle. Special tools have also been included on the site geared specifically towards dealerships that purchase used cars from Thrifty, in order to help them keep track of their inventory of vehicles. Private clients, however, will be happy to know that it is now possible to search for specific categories of cars, brands, years and makes by using a simple search tool. The site will then display all relevant vehicles located throughout the
United States.
For those clients who would like to shop around elsewhere before making a decision on car, or for anyone needing more time prior to a purchase, Thrifty’s sales website now allows them to save search results for a period of up to four weeks. One may also request e-mail notification if a requested vehicle is originally out of stock, but becomes available within a short period of time. All changes to Thrifty’s site were done with the goal of making the purchase of a used vehicle from the car hire giant’s rental fleet a more efficient and user-friendly process.
