Travelers look for creativity and choice in car rentals

An increasing number of travelers are looking to make a statement when they rent a car for their vacation and some automobile hire companies are now catching on, offering a range of unique, non-standard vehicles for their clients to choose from. One such company is UK-based Cool Cars 4 Hire, which has on stock Smart Cars, Beetles, Minis, Bentleys, Ferraris, Porsches and Lamborghinis. Cool Cars is located in London, in the Shepherd’s Bush area, and it markets itself as a “fun and snazzy” car hire company. According to the firm, many of the customers in the past have looked to rent a unique vehicle for a special occasion, like a graduation, wedding, or photo shoot. Increasingly, however, vacationers are also looking to rent special automobiles, while some simply want to hire one for a test drive, before they purchase their dream car.

Hired vehicles can be picked up at a number of London locations, such as Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Shepherd’s Bush. The cheapest cars available for weekend rentals are Smart Cars, which start at £110, from Friday afternoon to Monday morning. The tariff also includes a basic insurance for one driver, as well as VAT. The mileage allowance is, however, limited to 350 miles for the whole weekend. Clients that pass the limit will be charged an additional fee, as well as £0.10 per mile. Those renting Smart Cars, however, should keep in mind that unless otherwise specified, these vehicles can only transport two passengers, including the driver.

The most expensive car available at Cool Cars is the Porsche Boxster, which goes for £630 for a weekend. Clients that surpass the maximum allowable mileage, however, will be charged a much higher rate of £2 per extra mile.
