Posted on: March 27th, 2008 by Jean AdamsJetairfly, Belgium’s low-cost airline that is owned by the German tour operator TUI AG, has added a new route between Liege and Tel Aviv recently. Jetair is a well-known tourism company in Belgium and is TUI’s third low-cost airline that will begin operating flights to Israel after Thomson fly and Hapag Fly. The latter carriers already fly to different destinations in UK and Germany respectively.
The company will be represented by Holiday Travel Company in Israel. The Israeli company’s chairman, Moni Bar recently stated in a press conference that unlike the other low-cost carriers, Jetair will not bind its passengers with an inflexible schedule. Any traveller who wishes to travel to Belgium even for a few days, will also be able to gain from the company’s low fares.
Jetair had especially purchased a new Boeing 737 equipment with 200 seats, for this new route. It will be flying to Israel twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. The flights will take off from Liege’s airport situated a distance of 80 km from Brussels. The tickets can also be purchased online via the company’s Web site at http://www.Jetairfly.com.
Jetair has been in operation for almost 36 years now and is known as the second-largest airline in Belgium. It has an impressive range of new planes like Boeing 767 and Boeing 737 in its fleet. Its main hub is Brussels airport from where it flies to 66 different domestic and international destinations. Also, its total passengers count for the year 2007 stood at an impressive 1.9 million.
