Century Casinos has announced that it opened its first casino on a TUI Cruises ship on 23 May. The opening of the casino coincided with the maiden voyage of the cruise ship – the luxury four-star vessel that was christened “Mein Schiff” on 15 May.

Mein Schiff was christened in Hamburg, Germany, by the multi-talented Ina Muller, who was the 2008 recipient of the prestigious German Television Award.

Late last year, Century Casinos entered into a long-term, exclusive deal with TUI Cruises to operate the casinos on all TUI Cruises vessels entering service by 31 December 2012. TUI Cruises is a joint venture between TUI AG, of Germany and Royal Caribbean Cruise Ltd. of the United States. There are three ships that are scheduled to be placed into service by that date.

Century Casinos operates casinos on luxury cruise ships that sail on itineraries around the world. It currently manages the casinos on the luxury liner Silver Cloud – the Silversea Cruises six-star ship, and also on all of the Oceania Cruises vessels.
