Universal Studios offers brave tourists a memorable Halloween
Posted on: September 7th, 2007 by Garry RobertsonTourists traveling to Orlando, Florida this fall might consider visiting Universal Studios for a memorable and frightening Halloween experience. Since Universal focuses on presenting film history and stage sets, Halloween activities will, as expected, recreate scenes from some of the most famous and successful horror movies. These include cult classics, such as “Friday the 13th,” “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and “The Nightmare on Elm Street.” The program also includes extravagant haunted houses, as well as scare-zones, where ghost and goblins jump out of the darkest, most unexpected places, thus giving visitors a fright that they will likely remember for a long time. As an added benefit, visitors will have the opportunity to see a range of guest actors and actresses portray some of the most infamous villains of American horror films.
The Universal Halloween experience actually starts about one month before All Hallows’ Eve. The first programs are scheduled for September 28-29. The series of events ends on November 3, 2007. In order to participate in this special program, visitors must have checked into Universal Studios no later than 7pm each night.
Universal Studios also operates a theme park in Hollywood, and Halloween activities will be scheduled there as well. Although events at both locations can be a fun and unique way to spend a Halloween, parents are not advised to bring children under 12 years of age to this program. Universal Studios has a significant amount of experience staging these Halloween events. They first started 17 years ago, but since then Universal’s Halloween has become the largest such themed entertainment program in the US. Discounts and specials are available for early-bird reservations.
