Uniworld Boutique River Cruises makes Conde Nast top 10

Conde Nast Traveller readers have voted the Boutique River Cruise Collection in their top 10 in this year’s Annual Readers’ Choice Awards.

The awards, conducted for the 21st time this year, are based on a survey of the magazine’s readers, and constitute the largest independent consumer preference poll undertaken. More than 32,000 respondents took part in this year’s voting.

“These awards celebrate the destinations, lodgings, and modes of transportation that manage to exceed our expectations,” said the Editor-in-Chief of Conde Nast Traveller, Klara Glowczewska.

“We are absolutely delighted to be on this prestigious list,” said the president and CEO of Uniworld, Guy Young. “Uniworld has made significant capital investments in upgrades to the ships, food, onboard amenities, shore excursions and service delivery.”

He went on to say: “This award is further acknowledgement of our efforts in positioning Uniworld at the top end of the river cruise market. We are committed to adding state-of-the-art new ships, continuously upgrading our existing fleet, and building a solid operation’s infrastructure in Europe and the other destinations we visit.”

Uniworld will add two ships to its fleet in 2009. In March, the River Beatrice will join the fleet, sailing on the Danube, and in April, the River Tosca will join, operating on the historic Nile River.
