Hertz, Thrifty, and Virgin Blue have teamed up to launch a new car hire reservation site, announced Virgin Blue last week. The new site will feature search engines which allow customers to enter the preferred car make and model as well as preferred car hire company. The site will also feature a price comparison for local and international car hire destinations.
Virgin Blue has partnered with Hertz, Europcar, Thrifty, and others to offer the widest range in selection. The car hire booking service website has also added a feature will which allow guests to earn Velocity Points.
With Velocity Points, customers of the web booking site, can use points to secure additional car hire. Velocity Points will be received by guests each time they hire a car in Australia, New Zealand, and other select locations around the world.
According to Virgin Blue, the higher a guest’s Velocity Membership status, the more points they will be able to receive. All International rentals will run at a set rate of 800 Velocity Points per booking. The Virgin Blue car hire site is being run by “Car Trawler”, a globally run car hire distribution system. The site will be a great opportunity for Velocity Members and Virgin Blue Guests to earn reward points while receiving great values for their money.
