A brand new, state-of-the-art website has been officially launched this week. WeddingCarHire.com specialises in the chauffeur driven wedding car hire services in the UK, and it has launched a mobile website that’s optimised so that users can easily and more conveniently view the site and services from mobile devices like tablets, smartphones and even the Amazon Kindle.
WeddingCarHire.com is a one-stop-shop where brides and grooms-to-be can find the chauffeur driven vehicles they need throughout the UK – including London, Birmingham, Newcastle, Gloucester, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Glasgow, Chester, Norfolk, Cardiff, Brighton, Swansea and Carlisle. They also have a range of wedding vehicles – like the Daimler and Beauford limos, Baby Bentley limo and Rolls Royce Phantom, and more.
The peak season for weddings is growing near, and thousands of brides and grooms-to-be are searching online for chauffeur driven vehicles for their weddings. This mobile website has been launched by WeddingCarHire.com to ensure users who view its available services online can do so from their tablet or smartphone. With the new mobile WeddingCarHire.com website, viewers will be able to read the text easier, without zooming in on text or images. All of the information will automatically adapt to the device they are viewing the website on. The website’s image galleries, quote forms and booking forms have also been adjusted for tablet and smartphone use.
This follows Google finding in a study that 59% of smartphone users in the UK access the Internet from their device every day. The research also revealed that 85% of mobile users in the UK source their local info from smartphones, while 81% actually use the info they have found. Statistics also suggest mobile searches have increased on smartphones by 500% in the last two years. Additionally, a Morgan Stanley study estimates that people will surf the internet more on their mobile devices than desktop PCs by 2015.
Meanwhile, WeddingCarHire.com isn’t the only one launching a mobile website. Hertz On Demand has done so as well, allowing its car sharing members to make, change and cancel bookings. The site is available to every member in all the cities where the car sharing network is available – London, Berlin, Paris and Madrid in Europe; Boston, New York, Washington, DC, Miami and San Antonio in the US; as well as at over 60 college campuses.
Hertz On Demand is part of The Hertz Corporation and has over 650 vehicles at over 500 locations around the world, as well as has 130,000 members. The network has a variety of available vehicles to hire at hourly or daily rates – which include fuel, insurance, 24/7 roadside assistance, 180 free miles per day, 24-hour in-car Member Care Center communication and GPS turn-by-turn navigation.
Hertz chairman and chief executive Mark P. Frissora says Hertz On Demand members are comfortable using mobile devices and other internet-enabled technologies. With about 90% of mobile subscribers in the US and Western Europe having phones that are internet-ready, this new mobile site is a vital part of the car sharing network’s expansion efforts. They are committed to channeling user-friendly technology to enhance their member activities. They will introduce more mobile services that facilitate the easiest, fastest and simplest booking and car sharing experiences in the industry.
