Zoom performs well in consumer survey
Posted on: August 19th, 2008 by Doug SmithZoom Airlines-a Canadian discount carrier focused on offering transatlantic flights to and from the United Kingdom to key cities in Canada-has earned impressive marks in a recent passenger survey conducted by British consumer group “Which.” Zoom came out in eleventh place, in terms of the category focusing on long-haul flights. The fact that a total of 71 airlines were examined is what makes this distinction especially meaningful.
While Zoom is a discount airline, offering one-way tickets from Canada to the UK for as low as C$199, passengers can expect a relatively high level of service onboard. Cabin crew serve passengers travelling in regular economy class a complimentary hot meal, as well as a snack just prior to landing. Moreover, all passengers can choose to enjoy a glass of complimentary wine with their dinner, while non-alcoholic beverages are available free of charge throughout the flight. Those who choose to pay a little extra get to travel in the premium economy cabin, which offers more leg room (often referred to as “pitch”) between seats , as well as a more extensive selection of complimentary wines and drinks.
Zoom is most prominent on Canada to UK routes, as the carrier flies to a range of destinations in Britain, including London Gatwick, Manchester, Cardiff, Belfast and Glasgow.
